HOW TO PREPARE FOR SHEARING DAY
For the safety and comfort of your animals it is important that you and your flock are properly prepared for shearing day. Here is what to expect in the days around shearing day. Once you are on the schedule, do not hesitate to contact Pony with any questions or concerns by email or call/text 917-613-3560.
Before Shearing
Take animals off food and water (including pasture) for at least 12 hours before shearing.
Animals must be penned or contained before shearing appointment. If loose animals need to be collected, there will be a round up fee added to your final bill.
Animals must be dry. If there is a chance of rain, drizzle or mist, bring your livestock into a shelter. Soaking wet animals could take days to dry completely, so plan accordingly.
